We are looking for individuals who are compassionate, dependable, patient, and comfortable providing care and assistance to elderly or disabled residents.
Preferred qualifications and experience include:
-CNA certification or nurse aide training preferred

Job Description — Caregiver / Nurse Aide / CNA
The Caregiver / Nurse Aide / CNA provides compassionate, dependable, and respectful care and assistance to elderly and/or disabled residents in a private care-home setting. The position is responsible for supporting residents with their daily personal-care needs, activities of daily living (ADLs), medication management and distribution, comfort, safety, and overall well-being while promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and personal hygiene.
- Assist residents with walking, mobility, positioning, transferring, and other physical activities as appropriate to the resident's needs and the employee's training.
- Manage, prepare, and distribute medications to residents as required, including following prescribed medication schedules, maintaining accurate medication records, and following all applicable laws, regulations, care plans, and facility policies.
- Monitor and document medication administration and promptly report missed doses, medication refusals, adverse reactions, changes in condition, or other medication-related concerns to the appropriate supervisor or healthcare professional.
- Ensure medications are stored, handled, and distributed appropriately in accordance with applicable requirements and care-home policies.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
- Assist with meals, including meal preparation, serving, and encouraging residents to maintain appropriate nutrition and hydration.
- Observe residents for changes in condition, behavior, appetite, mobility, or other concerns and promptly report concerns to the appropriate supervisor or healthcare professional.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment for residents.
- Assist with light housekeeping and laundry related to resident care as assigned.
- Accompany or assist residents with appointments, activities, errands, or recreational activities as applicable.
- Follow individualized care instructions, care plans, safety procedures, infection-control practices, and care-home policies.
- Maintain residents' privacy, dignity, confidentiality, and personal rights at all times.
- Communicate respectfully and effectively with residents, family members, supervisors, healthcare providers, and other caregivers.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established emergency and safety procedures.
- Complete required documentation, including medication administration records and incident reports, as required.
- Attend required training, orientation, meetings, and continuing education.
- Perform other related caregiving duties as assigned.
